A porch floor that was rotting provided an opportunity for a few additional improvements in this lovely old covered porch. The rotting floorboards were replaced with cedar, and the old-fashioned railings were replaced with a simpler style. Copper solar post caps were added to the stair railing posts. The house and porch were completely and beautifully painted in a warmer butter yellow, and new cushions and pillows were added to the porch furniture. New house numbers, a new porch light, and a new mailbox — all in a satin nickel finish — replaced the older ones, and a new tiny table was found that perfectly matched the colors of the porch chairs and cushions.
