Challenge:

The client is a semi-retired writer on a tight budget who moved into a nice condo, but found that most of her existing furniture neither fit well nor suited her current taste. To begin with, she wanted help rearranging some of her current furniture into a more inviting and comfortable arrangement, and as her finances allowed, she wanted help selecting new furniture and accessories.  She had just had the walls freshly painted in two of her favorite colors, which she wanted to keep.

Solution:

I have worked with this client over time to help her choose new furnishings as her budget allowed. We have purchased most of the new furniture she needed, and will soon select curtains and accessories to complete the design of her rooms.

Living Room

We began with a simple rearrangement of furniture, followed by replacing artwork; eventually purchases were made of new couch, chairs, ottoman, coffee and end tables, lamps, rug and pillows.

Dining Room

We replaced the dining table, chairs, and credenza. We later added a new ceiling fan, and a new lamp and shelves for the adjacent work area.

Client Three

We selected a sleeper sofa, pillows, storage ottomans, end tables, lamps, draperies and artwork to furnish the guest room. We also added a shoji screen to hide an awkward attic door.
