I keep lots of large cardboard boxes and styrofoam on hand for when I need to ship my paintings.  I decided I needed a simple shelf for containing the large cardboard.

So I rummaged through some of our wood scraps to build this shelf.  It was fairly simple, except for attempting to build it inside my storage room with very low-ceilings; kind of like building a ship in a bottle, it was very challenging to find the room to do the building.

But, it worked out well, and holds my large cardboard boxes and some large sheets of styrofoam without taking up too much valuable space for the shelf itself.  And it is wedged pretty snugly in the space I have for it.
