Painting the trim on the first window was a pain. After priming and putting on two coats, I noticed the flat pieces of trim were all wobbly, so I spent 3 hrs. sanding it down, trying to sand it smooth and flat, so I could then paint again. Not sure what the problem was; wondering if these were surfaced on 3 sides only, and maybe the carpenter installed the unsurfaced side up? Idk. In the end, though, I think it turned out nice enough.
