The challenge for this project was to completely design five rooms of a house: a living room, dining room, kitchen, master bedroom with sitting room, and master bathroom.
I chose to focus on a 1937 house belonging to a creative, modern couple who have a beautiful modern art collection and a love of modern design.
Entrance to the house is from a covered porch with a set of 3 arches facing the street. The entrances to and from the living room, dining room, kitchen, hallway and foyer have been modified with arched doorways to echo the arches on the front porch.
The walls between the living room, dining room, and kitchen have been partially opened up to create a more unified, open space between the three rooms used for entertaining.
